Even though the Internic has not yet processed your application for servingthefaithful.com, you may begin uploading files to your site. You can upload your html files by using FTP (File Transport Protocol). If you are a user of a national service such as AOL or Prodigy, you can use their built in FTP interface to upload files. Otherwise, if your Internet provider did not provide you with an ftp package, you can download one from http://www.ipswitch.com.
When you ftp to your account you will need to use the address of 209.67.57.57 instead of the domain name. Your username and password are the ones that you selected when you applied for the account.
Once you make your connection to your account, you will see serveral directories including cgi-bin (this is a good indication that you have connected to your directory properly). You will need to upload your index.html file which is the first page in your web site. Once this page is uploaded to your site, you will loose this page, so we suggest your either print it, or save it on your hard disk.
Once the Internic resolves the domain name, you will be able to use the built in Control Panel to make any changes you will need inside the site, you can get directly to the control panel by using http://servingthefaithful.com/ControlPanel. Once your domain name is registered with the Internic, your web site will be active, so you have a few days to get your site together.
Once again, Thank you for making Web Hoster your hosting choice, we value you as a customer and will do everything we can to make sure you have a pleasant experience for years to come.
